I have been making this chia pudding on repeat for the past few months for breakfast. I usually meal prep them for work day breakfasts as they are time saving, keeps really well in the fridge and deliciously satisfying. They are easy to make and can be made with ingredients you have in your pantry. You can also swap ingredients to what you love or what you have at home š
My choc chia pudding consists of chia seeds, milk (I usually use almond or coconut milk), cacao powder, Greek yogurt and protein powder and I usually top with seasonal fresh fruit, cacao nibs, desiccated coconut, crushed roasted nuts and nut butter 𤤠If you like store bought chia pudding, why not make your own? They are a lot cheaper, tastes better, more nutritious and you can add whatever toppings you want 𤩠The recipe I am sharing is for one serve but please feel free to double or triple it to make multiple week day breakfasts š
I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I have. As always, please let me know what you think of this recipe. Serves 1
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp chia seeds;
- 1/2 cup milk of your choice;
- 3-4 tbsp Greek yogurt (or coconut yogurt for vegan option);
- 1 tbsp cacao powder;
- Optional: 2 tbsp chocolate protein powder;
- Optional: 2-3 tsp sweetener of your choice for a sweeter chia pudding.
Method
- In a medium bowl, place all the ingredients and whisk with a whisk or fork until well combined. You have to whisk for 2-4 minutes continuously so that the chia seeds do not clump together;
- Set the pudding in the fridge for 3-4 hours or overnight to set. The pudding will become gel-like;
- Serve with fresh berries or fruit of your choice, cacao nibs and desiccated coconut š„„
Whisk all the ingredients Allow to set in the fridge Enjoy with fresh fruit & toppings of your choice š
Happy making,
