Can you believe it’s almost #christmas? With Christmas just over two weeks away, I have started making #gifts as I like making my own gifts rather than buying them. One of my #DIY Xmas gifts this year is Bliss Balls in a Jar. The idea is that I have all the bliss balls ingredients in the jar & the recipient of the gift just have to blend the ingredients & add water/juice/milk & roll into bliss balls and they will have a healthy snack πŸ˜‹ I have made 3 different bliss balls jars: Cherry RipeπŸ’, Choc Orange🍊 & Choc Mint🍫. Instructions of my cherry ripe bliss balls in a jar is below (swipe left πŸ‘ˆ for a video)🀩 Enjoy 😊 Do you like making your own Xmas gifts? What’s your go to DIY gift idea? β€’ β€’ β€’ 🎁 Sterilise a 375g jar - I used my old peanut butter jars from @mayversfood #zerowaste To sterilise the jars, I dishwashed them and place them in the oven to kill any remaining germs 🎁 Add the bliss balls ingredients: 1 tbsp @loving_earth cacao powder, 3 tbsp @macr0mike protein powder, 1/3 cup @mckenziesfoods desiccated coconut, 1/3 cup @uncletobys rolled oats @grainslegumesnc , 1 tbsp @thechiaco chia seeds, 1 tbsp linseeds, 1 tbsp @terramadreorganics hemp seeds, 1 tbsp cacao nibs, 4 tbsp @angas_park dried cranberries & 50g @aldiaustralia pitted dates 🎁 Place the kid on the bottle. Time for some Xmas deco now (which I got from @therejectshop to keep costs low). I added a ribbon on the bottle cap, Xmas card with instructions on how to make the bliss balls and a string to attach the card to the bottle :) 🎁 And there you have it, your #diychristmasgifts is all done βœ… β€’ β€’ β€’ #savvy #diychristmas #diycrafts #diygifts #christmas #christmasgifts #xmasgift #xmas #giftideas #gifts #christmasdecor #giftsforher
Made this for dinner a few weeks ago. Sweet potato soy bean fritters, healthier coleslaw and air fried sweet potato chips. This dinner is perfect for a summer’s night and if you love vegetarian or vegan meals πŸ˜‹ The fritters are made in my trusty #Airfryer and made with some steamed sweet potato, soy bean pulp (from making soy milk - yay for #zerowaste 😊), grated carrots, minced garlic, brown onion, @san_elk veggie stock & pepper. I also made my coleslaw healthier by making my own mayonnaise that’s egg free & a whole lot tastier than those store bought ones 😊 Recipe of my healthier coleslaw below and swipe left πŸ‘ˆ for the video πŸ₯— Enjoy πŸ˜‰ β€’ β€’ β€’ Ingredients 1 x 400g packet crunchy salad/coleslaw mix @aldiaustralia 3 heaped tbsp Greek yogurt (or natural coconut yogurt for vegan mayonnaise) @aldiaustralia 2-3 tsp mild American mustard @heinz_au Squirt of sriracha (to your liking) @sriracha_fg or any hot sauce 1 tsp maple syrup @aldiaustralia Method In a large bowl, place the crunchy salad/coleslaw mix. For the healthier mayonnaise, mix the Greek yogurt, mustard, sriracha & maple syrup until well combined. Transfer the mayonnaise to the salad mix and mix until well combined. Enjoy 😊 Serves 3-4 #healthydinner #summerfood #flexitarian #healthylifestyle #healthyeating #healthyrecipes
Snack of the week is my chocolate orange #blissballs using @macr0mike Halloween protein powder range πŸ˜€ This has to be one of favourite snacks to date. I love the rich taste chocolate with the sourness of the orange together πŸ˜‹I used some dates, cashews, almonds, protein powder and freshly squeezed orange juice to bind them together πŸ˜‹ They deliciously sweet, packed with good fat, protein and carbohydrates to get you through that mid afternoon slump. So, if you are looking for a sweet snack to get you through the afternoon or simply craving for a sweet snack, why not make your own bliss ball? πŸ’• Full recipe below πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡ β€’ β€’ β€’ **Ingredients 1/2 cup cashews @nuts_for_life 1/2 cup raw almonds @australianalmonds 60g dates 1/4 cup mixed citrus peels @angas_park 4 tbsp chocolate orange peanut protein powder @macr0mike (you can use your favourite plain or vanilla or chocolate protein powder too or leave it out if you don’t have protein powder) 2 tbsp cacao powder @loving_earth 2 tbsp cacao nibs Zest of one orange Juice of 1/2-1 orange (depending on how juicy your orange is) **Method In a food processor, place all of the above ingredients except the orange juice and process until well combined. Then add 1 tbsp orange juice at a time to food processor and continue to process until the mixture resembles a cookie dough. Roll the into bite sized balls store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks or in the freezer for up to 3 months. Enjoy 😊πŸ’ͺ🀀 Makes 20 balls #healthylifestyle #healthyfood
Am I even a #foodie if I don’t take photos of my food during my holidays ?!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…πŸ˜… When researching for this Burmese trip, I got the vibe that food in Burma would not be as good as Thailand and other neighbouring countries. But having tasted the food here for the last ten days, I beg to differ. These are only some of the food I tried in #Burma πŸ‡²πŸ‡² There are more but I can’t fit them all here πŸ˜‹πŸ˜…πŸ˜…
When I am not studying, working or creating delicious meals and snacks in the kitchen, you can find me travelling the world. This time I am travelling through #myanmar and experiencing the local culture and food with my beautiful mom. This is #bagan where there is over 2000 pagodas! If you thought Vietnam, Cambodia, China or Sri Lanka have many pagodas/temples, then you haven’t seen Bagan yet. I saw pagodas everywhere I walked, it was amazing 🀩 . . . . . #asia #doyoutravel #travelgram #picturesque #travel2019 #traveldiaries #traveldiaries2019 #travellingthroughtheworld #ilovetravel #travelgram #picoftheday #holiday2019 #summertravel #travelfun #traveller #mytravelgram #travelphotography #instatravel #wanderlust #visitbagan #adventure #tourism #tourist #travelblog #travelblogger #travellife #superdupertraveladventures #temple
Happy hump day everyone. I hope you are having a good week. I have been a bit lazy (and busy) and haven’t posted recipes in a while. So, here is my single serve creamy semolina pudding that I made on the weekend for breakfast πŸ₯ž It was creamy, warming, comforting and delicious for a cold wintery morning 😊 Definitely hit the spot for a weekend breakfast. This recipe is gluten free, vegan and #oilfree 😍Full recipe belowπŸ‘‡ Enjoy 😊 β€’ *Ingredients 1/2 cup milk of your choice (I used @almondbreezeaus almond milk) 1/2 cup water 1 tsp vanilla essence 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon 1/3 cup fine semolina @grainslegumesnc 1-2 tsp sweetener of your choice(or more) I used @queenfinefoods maple syrup 2 tbsp sultanas (I used Iranian sultanas which have a distinct unique taste) 1 tsp silvered almonds @lucky.nuts *Method Heat a saucepan on a medium high heat and pour the water, milk & vanilla essence and bring to a boil. Once the milk mixture is boiling, whisk in the semolina, cinnamon & sweetener until nice and creamy. The semolina will cook within minutes. Switch off the heat, add the sultanas and mix well. Transfer the semolina pudding to a bowl, topped with silvered almonds, extra sultanas and a bit of maple syrup. You can also add a little bit of milk if you prefer it a bit runnier. Enjoy 😊 β€’ β€’ β€’ #semolina #homemadecake #pudding #homemade #breakfastofchampions #veganrecipe #glutenfree
